Aktiom Networks Managed Support

The following outlines managed support services included with all Red Hat Enterprise Linux VPSs.

You're free to ask us for advice on a VPS-related issue. This is something we provide free of charge for all our clients. So contact us at and ask away!

Troubleshooting

Please contact us if you have any issues with your Red Hat Enterprise Linux VPS. If the problem is with the operating system, we will resolve the issue at no cost to you. If the problem is with a custom script or third party application, we will help you identify the source of the problem so you can contact the appropriate party for further assistance.

Apply Standard Updates

Periodically Red Hat will release updates to pre-installed software in your VPS. At your request we will apply these for you at no charge. It's also possible to have your VPS automatically check for new updates and install them when available. Please contact us if you need updates applied or would like us to configure automatic updates.

VPS Backups

We perform nightly backups of your VPS to a private backup server. The backup service includes one weekly full backup and incremental backups the other six days of the week. At your request, we can restore specified files and directories or the whole VPS if needed. This service is given free of charge to all Aktiom Networks clients.

Fault-Tolerant DNS Service

Rather than spend time installing and configuring your own DNS server, you can take advantage of our three DNS servers to handle it for you. The primary and secondary DNS servers are onsite at SunGard's data center, while the tertiary server is offsite at a data center in Texas. This service is given free of charge to all Aktiom Networks clients.

Offsite Email Spool Service

In the event your VPS is undergoing scheduled maintenance, it doesn't look professional to have incoming email bounced back to senders. To address this issue, we offer an offsite email spooling server that accepts your new messages during maintenance. It will then keep trying to deliver the message queue to your VPS for up to seven days. This service is given free of charge to all Aktiom Networks clients.
